Youthful Revival Aesthetics

Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that involves creating tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin using fine needles. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin's natural healing process, promoting collagen production and enhancing skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.

Procedure time
30–45 minutes (including numbing time)
Anaesthetic
Topical local Anaesthetic will be applied beforehand
Downtime
Minimal, redness for 1–2 days, possible mild peeling
Duration of results
Builds gradually, improvements can last several months with good skincare
Full Results
Noticeable after about 4–6 weeks as collagen regenerates
Number of Treatments
Typically a course of 3–6 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, then maintenance 1–2 times per year

Transform Your Skin with Collagen Induction Therapy!

How Does Microneedling Work?

During the microneedling procedure, a specialized device with fine needles is used to create thousands of micro-channels in the skin's surface. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural wound healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production. As the skin heals, it becomes firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking.

Benefits of Microneedling

  • Improved Skin Texture: Microneedling helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars, resulting in smoother and more even skin texture.

  • Increased Collagen Production: By stimulating collagen synthesis, microneedling enhances skin elasticity and firmness, reducing sagging and promoting a youthful appearance.

  • Reduced Hyperpigmentation: Microneedling can help lighten dark spots and hyperpigmentation, resulting in a more even and radiant complexion.

  • Enhanced Product Absorption: The micro-channels created during microneedling allow for better absorption of skincare products, maximizing their effectiveness.

  • Minimally Invasive: Microneedling is a non-surgical procedure with minimal downtime, making it a convenient option for busy individuals.

Here’s what you can expect during a Bio Pen Q2 procedure, which combines microneedling, EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation), and LED light therapy for advanced skin rejuvenation:

Microneedling

  • The Bio Pen Q2 will be set to the appropriate speed (from 5 adjustable settings) and depth (up to 1.5mm) based on your skin’s needs.

  • The microneedles create micro-channels in the skin, stimulating collagen production and improving product absorption.

  • You may feel a light scratching sensation, but discomfort is usually minimal, especially with numbing.

EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation)

  • The device will deliver 25-pole pulse microcurrents to stimulate facial muscles, collagen, and elastin production.

  • This step helps lift, tone, and sculpt the skin, promoting a more youthful appearance.

  • You might feel a gentle tingling sensation as the muscles are activated, but it’s pain-free.

Red & Blue LED Light Therapy

  • The Bio Pen will be adjusted to use blue or red light based on your skin concerns:

  • Blue Light: Targets acne by reducing bacteria and controlling excess oil.

  • Red Light: Focuses on reducing wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, and improving skin tone and texture. It also helps with rosacea and eczema.

  • The light feels warm and relaxing, and it’s completely non-invasive.

Aftercare

  • Skin may be red and sensitive for 24–48 hours, similar to a mild sunburn.

  • Aftercare instructions may include:

  • Avoiding makeup for 24 hours.

  • Using hydrating and gentle skincare to soothe the skin.

  • Applying broad-spectrum SPF daily.

  • Avoiding saunas, intense workouts, or hot showers for at least 24 hours.

Is Microneedling Right for You?

Microneedling is suitable for individuals looking to improve the overall quality and appearance of their skin. Whether you're concerned about aging skin, acne scars, or uneven skin tone, microneedling can help rejuvenate and refresh your complexion.
